What the checker looks at

The same checks as the full audit, grouped into areas you will recognise:
  • Can search engines find and understand your pages?
  • Is the site secure, and do links and redirects work?
  • How fast does it load on a phone?
  • Is it usable on small screens and with assistive technology?
  • Is there enough clear content, and is it easy to contact you?

Understanding the score

80 or above is good, 55 to 79 needs attention and below 55 is critical. Each area has its own score, so you can see straight away whether the problem is speed, content or something technical. Tap any area to see exactly what was checked.

Severity labels

Critical means it is likely costing you visitors now, such as the homepage being blocked from search. Warning is worth fixing soon. Opportunity is a smaller improvement. We avoid calling everything critical.

After the check

Each issue explains why it matters and how to fix it, in plain language you can pass to a developer. Create a free account to save the result and re-check later.

Common questions

How long does a check take?
Usually one to two minutes, most of which is waiting for Google's speed test.
What does the SiteScore score mean?
It is a weighted average of the category scores, each built from fixed checks with fixed weights. 80 and above is good, 55–79 needs attention, and below 55 is critical. Anything we could not measure is left out of the score rather than counted as a fail.
Is SiteScore free?
Yes. You can run a free audit without a card or an account. Paid plans (Pro at £15 a month, Agency at £59 a month) add saved history, AI writing tools, monitoring, branded reports and agency features.
Does SiteScore guarantee higher Google rankings?
No, and no honest tool can. SiteScore shows what is measurably wrong on your pages and what to fix first. Rankings depend on many things an audit cannot see, such as competition and links from other sites.

It takes one web address and about a minute.
