How this check works

The title tag is the headline search engines and browsers use for your page. We request the page and read the <title> element exactly as it is served.

Titles between roughly 30 and 60 characters usually display in full in search results. Longer titles are not penalised — they are simply more likely to be shortened on screen. No character count guarantees a ranking.

The bigger win is usually clarity: say what the page is and who it is for, and avoid repeating the same title across many pages.
